Bhubaneswar: In view of the heavy rainfall or thundershower with lightning situation in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Satyabrata Sahu has on Monday instructed the Commissioners of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) to keep administrative machinery ready.
The SRC has said that poor visibility and traffic congestion is expected during intense spells as there may be water logging in low-lying areas while drains and roads may be submerged under water.
The SRC has further asked the BMC and CMC to keep drains, and stormwater channels decongested and deploy adequate dewatering pumps as per requirement.
