Heavy rain warning in many states including Bihar-Jharkhand

New Delhi: Many areas of Delhi-NCR received rain this morning. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain for the next two days. The Meteorological Department said that this week there may be heavy rain in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana Chandigarh-Delhi and Eastern Rajasthan. Heavy rain is expected in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan during the next 24 hours.

There will be heavy rain in these states

Light to moderate rain is expected in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Gujarat. Rain warning has been issued for Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Saurashtra and Kutch, Madhya Pradesh till August 27. Heavy rain is expected in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh today. Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha will receive heavy rains till August 24.

Orange alert for heavy rain in northeastern states

Heavy rain warnings have been issued for Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka may receive scattered to scattered rainfall during the week.

There will be rain in Rajasthan till August 26

There is a strong possibility of monsoon remaining active in the eastern parts of Rajasthan for the next one week. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain with thundershowers in some parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur divisions. There is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in the districts of Kota, Udaipur and Jaipur divisions for the next five-six days.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thundershowers in some parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan for the next two-three days. He said that there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in some parts of Jodhpur division during 24 to 26 August. It has been raining in the state for the last several days.
