Rain lashes many parts of Telangana.

Heavy rain lashed parts of Telangana on Monday evening and Tuesday morning including in Khammam, Mahabubabad, Nalgonda, Warangal, Jogulamba Gadwal, Yadadri, Jangaon.

As per Telangana State Development Planning Society data, Konijerla mandal in Khammam witnessed the highest amount of rainfall with 148.5 mm while Chinnagudur mandal in Mahabubabad received 85.8 mm followed by Ghattu in Jogulamba Gadwal district with 82.3 mm rainfall.

Hyderabad saw cloudy skies and a drizzle of rain in a few places on Tuesday morning.

India Meteorological Department forecast that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with sustained surface winds up to 30-40 kmph is very likely in Hyderabad on Tuesday and Wednesday. Surface winds are likely to be westerlies/south-westerlies with wind speeds around 8-12 kmph.

IMD forecast for Andhra Pradesh: 

In neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning likely at some palces in North coastal AP, Yanam, South coastal AP, Rayalaseema over the next few days. Lower tropospheric south westerly/ westerly winds prevail over AP and Yanam.

Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Nellore, Nandyala, YSR, Annamaiya, Chittoor districts are likely to receive light to moderate rains on Tuesday, as per Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority.

Light rain with scattered thundershowers is likely over Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, Prakasam, Kurnool, Anantapur, Sri Sathyasai and Tirupati districts.
