‘He called me inside and touched me’: Mumbai woman alleges harassment by assistant labour commissioner

New Delhi: Pydhonie Police in Mumbai have registered a case against an assistant labour commissioner on charges of sexual harassment of a woman.

Harassment under pretext of promotion

The woman alleges that the assistant labour commissioner called her to his cabin under the pretext of giving her a promotion and inappropriately touched her. Following this, the woman filed a written complaint at the police station, based on which the police registered a case.

Pydhonie police stated that based on the complaint of the 36-year-old woman, a case has been registered against a 49-year-old man named Dinesh Dabhade.

No arrests made so far

Dinesh Dabhade is currently serving as the assistant labour commissioner at the Metal and Paper Market and Shop Mathadi Workers Board.

However, no arrests have been made in this case so far. An official stated that a notice has been issued to Dabhade in connection with the case, and the investigation is ongoing.
