The Napa Valley Grapegrowers and Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation raised $2.8 million at the 17th annual Harvest STOMP fundraiser last month.

Harvest STOMP co-chairs Karen Cakebread, Mary Maher and Francoise Peschon welcomed over 500 guests to Ron and Linda DeKoven’s Viña Esperanza in Calistoga on Aug. 24 to kick off the 2024 harvest and celebrate the important work these two organizations do to strengthen the grape growing industry and community.

“We are thrilled with the results from this year’s STOMP,” said Maher in a news release. “Every bit of support counts, as all funds raised equally support Napa Valley Grapegrowers educational programs focused on increasing quality, innovation, and environmental stewardship in the vineyard, and Napa Valley Farmworkers’ mission to provide education and career advancement opportunities to farmworkers and their families.”

The highlight of the live auction was the fund-a-need, which raised critical funds to support the missions of both organizations. The generosity from supporters shined bright as paddles were raised high under the auction lights, according to the news release.

“We are so grateful for the support of our grape-growing community and friends from all over the Napa Valley,” said Sonya DeLuca, executive director of the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation, “STOMP gives us the opportunity to support the missions of both the Napa Valley Grapegrowers and Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation, whose combined work is critical to the vibrancy of the Napa Valley.”

The 18th annual Harvest STOMP will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, hosted by co-chairs Kendall Hoxsey-Onysko and Morgaen Hoxsey Pickett of Napa Wine Co., and will celebrate the Napa Valley Grapegrowers 50th Anniversary. To learn more visit harveststomp.com.
