Shillong, August 2: The biggest pageant in the state – Miss Meghalaya and Miss Teen Meghalaya, is set to host its grand finale on Saturday at the Lariti Multipurpose Hall, Mawdiangdiang.
Over 40 contestants attended the auditions, but only 19 were selected for the Miss Meghalaya finale and 18 for the Miss Teen finale.

In this year’s edition, the lone contestant from Garo Hills – Miss Tekra Dingsilchi K. Sangma, is set to compete for the grand prize in Miss Meghalaya 2024.
This year’s competition is bigger than ever, as the winner of Miss Meghalaya 2024 will be crowned Miss Universe Meghalaya and will earn a direct entry to the prestigious Miss Universe India 2024.

The first and second runners-up will represent the state in Miss North East 2024, to be held in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the winner of Miss Teen Meghalaya 2024 will secure a direct entry to Miss Teen Diva 2025, which will take place in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The organizers in a statement expressed their dedication to providing a platform for the winners to showcase their talents on national stages. Notably, Miss Meghalaya is the first beauty pageant in the state to offer a direct path to the Miss Universe India finals.
