Empty Almirahs & Chests Of Shree Jagannath Temple’s Ratna Bhandar Shifted | Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Shifting of empty almirahs and chests from the Bahar (outer) and Bhitar (inner) Ratna Bhandar (treasure trove) of the Shree Jagannath Temple was completed on Friday in accordance of the standard operating procedure (SOP) approved by the Odisha government, informed Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple administration (SJTA) Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee in a post on X.

Padhee said that with this ended an important phase concerning Shree Jew’s Ratna Bhandar.

Earlier, on July 14 and 18 the ornaments and valuables from the Bahar and Bhitar Ratna Bhandar were respectively shifted to the temporary Ratna Bhandar (strong room) inside the Shree Mandir, Padhee said.

Now, repair of Ratna Bhandar by the ASI will take place, he added.
