Bhubaneswar: An elderly woman was killed after being attacked by a bull at Laija village under Nakatideuli block in Sambalpur district, on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Jambubati Behera(60),a resident of Nakatideuli.
According to sources, the incident occurred when Jambubati was walking on the village road and was attacked by a bull, which gored her with its horns.
She was rushed to Redhakhol Medical, where doctors declared her dead.
The incident sent a shockwave in the locality. Police, meanwhile, filed an unnatural death case in this connection and sent the body for post-mortem.
The body will be handed over to the family after post-mortem, said sources.
