Dy CM Singh Deo Discusses Samruddha Krushak Yojana In Detail With Senior Officials | Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo on Friday held a thorough discussion on the Samruddha Krushak Yojana at the conference hall of the Lok Seva Bhavan.

Singh Deo emphasized on procurement of Rabi and Kharif paddy through P-PAS and making available tokens to all eligible farmers for procurement of paddy through mandis apart from expediting maintenance work.

The Dy Chief Minister further emphasized providing the minimum support price of Rs 3100 per quintal fixed by the government after verifying the Aadhar-linked details of the farmers. Certificates will be issued to the mills after verifying their stock and per mill capacity and the certificate will be compared with the bill and rebate will be given on the electricity bill.

Singhdeo also suggested that the token given for the sale of paddy should be renewed along with increasing its validity.

In this year’s budget, the State government has allocated Rs 5,000 crore for the Samruddha Krushak Yojana. To date, 8.56 lakh farmers have already sold their produce through the Mandis. In addition to that farmer agencies supplying seeds will be given assistance of Rs 800 per quintal based on the quantity of seeds.

If required eligible farmers will be provided tokens through SMS. Full payment will be received online within 24 to 48 hours of selling paddy in the mandis. Digital crop surveys are being used to prevent crop loss and check dishonest practices. PAC ACS, LAMPS, WSHG and Pani Panchayats will act as registration centres. Apart from this, it was revealed at the meeting that P-passes will be surveyed through satellite.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare VV Yadav, Principal Secretary Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Commissioner cum Secretary Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, Director Agriculture and Food Production Prem Chandra Chaudhary and other senior officials.
