Chief Justice hoists National Flag at High Court — The Kashmir Monitor

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 15: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh celebrated the 78th Independence Day today here. The main function of the Independence Day was held in the High Court Wing, Srinagar wherein Justice Tashi Rabstan, Chief Justice (A) hoisted the National Flag and congratulated the participants.

The event was attended by Judges available in Srinagar wing of the High Court Justice Atul Sreedharan, Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Justice Puneet Gupta, Justice Javed Iqbal Wani, Justice Mohd. Akram Chowdhary and Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi.

Advocate General of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir as well the Senior Advocates were present on the occasion. The Registrar General, judicial officers and the officials of the Registry of main wing and Srinagar wing also participated in the event.  Principal District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar also participated in the event along with the judicial officers from his District.

 The contingent of Armed Forces played patriotic songs/tunes after the unfurling of the National Flag. Justice Tashi Rabstan also distributed sweets among the members of the Armed Forces.

Meanwhile, the celebrations for 78th Independence Day were today held across all the District Court Complexes (DCCs) of Kashmir, during which the respective Principal District and Session Judges (PD&SJs) hoisted the national flag and took salute at the march-past.

At Srinagar, the District Judiciary Srinagar in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority Srinagar celebrated 78th Independence Day in a grand and memorable manner at the District Court Complex Moominabad, Srinagar.

On the occasion, Principal District & Sessions Judge (Chairman, DLSA, Srinagar), Jawad Ahmed hoisted the tricolor and took the salute, acknowledging the selfless dedication of these guardians of our nation. In his address, the PD&SJ highlighted the significance of Independence Day and emphasized the judiciary’s unwavering commitment to upholding the Constitution and serving the people.
