Chennai: Renowned Veda Pandit and astrologer AMR Rajagopal celebrated his 101st birthday in Chennai yesterday, marking a remarkable milestone. During the celebration, he performed a rare and significant ritual by tying the Mangala Sutra to his wife for the fourth time. This ceremony has been performed previously at significant junctures in his life: at the age of 17, 61 (Shashti Poorthi), and 81 (Sathaabhishekam or Sahasra Chandra Darshanam). This fourth occasion coincides with his 101st birthday and 84 years of successful marriage. This rare opportunity is a testament to his enduring legacy and commitment.
