On the evening of July 26, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Chennai Affiliate hosted an unforgettable annual awards ceremony celebrating the remarkable achievements of women in engineering. Mr. Dhinakar Jacob from Capgemini provided a thought-provoking perspective on the importance of reaching out to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities for talent. His point about diversifying recruitment efforts to include these regions was well received and highlighted a broader commitment to inclusivity in hiring practices.

A significant moment of the evening was the transition of leadership within the Chennai Affiliate. The former president, Saranaya Somu of Emerson, officially handed the baton to the new president, Jagadeeshwari of Capgemini.
