Bus rams into vehicles on Hebbal flyover

A BMTC Volvo bus driver lost control and collided with multiple vehicles on the Hebbal flyover on Monday morning, injuring a motorcyclist and damaging several cars. The bus, travelling from the airport to HSR Layout, caused a significant traffic disruption.

Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.

According to the Hebbal Traffic Police, CCTV footage from the bus captured the entire incident, showing the driver appearing disoriented while the conductor hurried to stop the vehicle. The driver, who sustained a fractured leg, was detained by the police.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident, including whether the driver was intoxicated.

A BMTC official said the accident occurred at approximately 9:25 am, involving a bus en route from the International Airport to HSR Layout.
