BJP Nagaland to conduct ‘Har Ghar Tiranga campaign’

To commemorate the 78th Indian Independence Day celebration, Nagaland’s Bharatiya Jananta Party (BJP) is set to roll out a series of events across the state under the banner of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.’ This was announced at a press conference by the party’s state media cell in Dimapur on August 8.
BJP State General Secretary, Manai Konyak stated that the campaign will go on for about a week where the party will have a series of activities leading up August 15. This includes conducting social work and invoking National pride through flag hoisting across the state.
Highlighting the list of activities, State BJP media in charge, Sapralu Nyekha stated that on August 12, distribution of flags to all district and morcha presidents, mandals in the presence of BJP Nagaland in-charge, Anil K Anthony. A bike rally will be organised for across the state which will be flagged off by Anthony in Dimapur on August 13. This will be followed by a cleanliness drive to be conducted in Dimapur and a tribute at the grave of late Captain Kenguruse in Kohima on August 14.
On August 15, the party will conduct a tri-colour hoisting on all homes and business establishments along with providing free food for the homeless at Dimapur Railway station.
The initiative is aimed at providing awareness of the National flag and invoke a feeling of patriotism among the citizens, explained state secretary, Esther Chang mentioned.
As a mark of respect, the party also encouraged every citizen to hoist the National flag outside their homes beginning from August 13 to 15.
