Bihar DGP RS Bhatti gets new responsibility

Rajwinder Singh Bhatti, a 1990 batch officer of Bihar cadre, has got a new responsibility. Actually, the central government has appointed Rajwinder Singh Bhatti as the Director General of Central Industrial Security Force i.e. CISF. Bhatti will remain on this post till 30 September 2025. Let us tell you that earlier Rajwinder Singh Bhatti was the DGP of Bihar. At the same time, Daljit Singh Chaudhary, a 1990 batch IPS officer of UP cadre, has been appointed as the Director General of Border Security Force i.e. BSF, who will remain on this post till 30 November 2025. Let us tell you that Daljit Singh Chaudhary was currently working as DG SSB.

The appointments were made two days ago

Let us tell you that earlier the central government had appointed senior IPS officer B Srinivasan as the Director General of the National Security Guard (NSG). The government has issued an order for this. At the same time, IRMS officer Satish Kumar has been appointed as the new Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board. Let us tell you that B Srinivasan is a 1992 batch Bihar cadre IPS officer. Before becoming the DG of NSG, Srinivasan has been the Special DG of Jammu and Kashmir of Nalin Prabhat. At the same time, Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) officer Satish Kumar has been appointed as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Railway Board. Senior officials of the Railway Board said that this makes him the first Chairman and CEO from Scheduled Caste in the history of the board.

Jaya Verma Sinha is retiring on 31 August

He is currently posted as Member, Traction Rolling Stock. Kumar’s appointment comes as Jaya Verma Sinha, who is the current Chairman and CEO of the board, is retiring on August 31 and Kumar’s appointment will be effective from September 1. A government order from the Railway Board said that Satish Kumar’s appointment is in the top pay scale (pay level 17 as per Seventh Central Pay Commission). Sinha took over the role of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Railway Board on September 1 last year and became the first woman to hold the post. Just two weeks ago, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved a series of important bureaucratic appointments in various ministries. The leadership reshuffle included new appointments in key departments including Finance and Defence.
