According to officials, Bengaluru Metro Rail services on the Green Line were paralysed on Saturday evening after a 35-year-old man jumped in front of a moving train.

Bengaluru Metro: Services were suspended on a portion of the Green Line of Bengaluru Metro after a man committed suicide by jumping in front of an approaching Metro train at Doddakallasandra station on Saturday evening.

According to officials, Metro Rail services on the Green Line were paralysed on Saturday evening after a 35-year-old man jumped in front of a moving train.

In a statement, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) said the identity of the deceased is being ascertained and investigations are on to identify him and the ascertain reason behind the extreme step.

“As per the preliminary information a 35-year-old Man, has jumped in front of the approaching train at 17.45 hrs at Doddakallasandra Station,” the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited said in a post on ‘X’.

The BMRCL informed that due to the incident, the train services on Green Line are suspended between Yelachenahalli and Silk Institute Stations.

However, services are running normally in the remaining section, they said.
