Mohanlal, the Malayalam superstar is finally set to release his long-delayed directorial debut Barroz. The movie, which is touted to be a 3D fantasy drama, has been slated to hit the big screens in September 2024, as an Onam special release. Ahead of the grand theatrical release, the team is all set to release the Barroz trailer on social media, very soon. As per the recent updates, Mohanlal, Santhosh Sivan, and the team attended the screening of the trailer, which was held in Mumbai, today.

As per the recent updates, the Barroz trailer screening was held at a PVR screen in Mumbai city, in the presence of Mohanlal and the other crew members of the film. The superstar, who returned to Mumbai after wrapping up the Gujarat schedule of the Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial L2 Empuraan, attended the screening with his team and approved the final trailer cut. The superstar director’s pictures from the screening of the Barroz trailer are now going viral on social media.
Barroz trailer to be released at IIFA Utsavam?
If the recent updates are to be believed, the Barroz trailer will be officially launched at the upcoming IIFA Utsavam event, which is slated to be held on September 6, 2024. The star-studded event, which is expected to be attended by the biggest celebrities of the South Indian film industry, will be held in Abu Dhabi on September 6th and 7th, 2024. However, both Mohanlal and his team have not officially announced the Barroz trailer release date, yet. A major update on the same is expected to be out soon.
The makers already kickstarted the promotional activities of the film, with the release of the Barroz and Voodoo animated series. The movie is expected to hit the theatres on September 12, 2024. In that case, the Mohanlal directorial might clash with the upcoming Tovino Thomas’ Ajayante Randam Moshanam at the box office. Even though the makers have not officially announced the release date yet, a special poster of the film which was released earlier this year, confirmed the same.
