As Bangladesh descends into crisis, India has issued a high alert along the 4,096 km India-Bangladesh border. The BSF Director General, Daljit Chawdhary, has arrived in Kolkata to oversee security measures. All BSF personnel have been instructed to prevent unauthorized entry and deter smuggling and terrorism. Security measures have been reinforced, and all leave for border personnel has been canceled. India’s Home Minister Amit Shah is closely monitoring the situation. The alert follows Sheikh Hasina’s resignation and departure from Dhaka amid escalating violence related to quota issues. All field commanders are ordered to maintain heightened vigilance.
