Assamese Short Film ‘Rong (The Colour)’ Set For Release On August 14

Guwahati, July 24: Borluit Productions, a renowned film production company, announced the release of their highly acclaimed Assamese short film ‘Rong (The Colour)’ on August 14.

The film has already made a mark in the international film circuit, securing 11 official selections and winning 8 prestigious awards at top film festivals worldwide.

Directed and edited by Nekib Ahmed, with a powerful story and screenplay by Anjan Kaushik Sharma, ‘Rong (The Colour)’ delves into profound themes and showcases the true colour of India.

The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Ankur Baidya, Imran Hussain, and Pritam Jyoti Das, and features cinematography by Manabjyoti Kalita and a compelling background score by Debajit Brahma.

‘Rong (The Colour)’ has received accolades from esteemed film festivals, including Best Short Film at the Triloka International Filmfare Awards 2023 and Best Indian Short Film at Indo Dubai International Film Festival 2024.

After a successful festival stint, the film will be available for public viewing starting August 14.
