Arunachal’s Tarh Nikam And Rakhe Sumpa Win Gold At 7th National Cadet Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships 2024

Itanagar, August 5 – In a proud moment for Arunachal Pradesh, two young athletes, Tarh Nikam and Rakhe Sumpa, secured gold medals at the 7th National Cadet Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships 2024 held in Visakhapatnam.

Tarh Nikam, hailing from Kurung Kumey district, won gold in the under 53 kg Kyorugi event, while Rakhe Sumpa secured gold in the 37-51 kg Kyorugi category.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to social media to congratulate the athletes, saying, “Congratulations to Tarh Nikam from Kurung Kumey district on winning Gold in under 53 kg Kyorugi event…” and “Moment of pride as Rakhe Sumpa of Arunachal Pradesh has won Gold in 37-51 kg Kyorugi category…”

The 7th National Cadet Kyorugi Taekwondo Championships 2024 served as a platform for young athletes to display their talent and compete at a high level, witnessing fierce competition and exceptional skills.
