Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Inaugurates Upgraded Drinking Water Supply Project At TRIHMS

Itanagar, Aug 9: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today inaugurated a new drinking water supply project at Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) in Naharlagun, with a capacity of 19 lakh liters per day. The project has been upgraded from its previous capacity of 2 lakh liters per day to ensure a steady and reliable water supply.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by his cabinet colleagues Mama Natung, Balo Raja, Biyuram Wahge, Techi Kaso, and Itanagar Mayor Tamme Phassang. Khandu stated that this futuristic project is a testament to their government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and services in the capital region.

In addition to this project, the government is planning a super specialty complex for TRIHMS and establishing a state cancer institute at Midpu. A master plan is also prepared for the long-term development of the Itanagar and Naharlagun regions, with a focus on beautifying the capital and upgrading colony roads.

Khandu congratulated TRIHMS and thanked the Itanagar Smart City Mission and PHED Department for making this valuable project a reality.
