Aruachal’s Chera Loku Wins Bronze At 4th World Wushu Taijiquan Championship
Arunachal Pradesh’s Chera Loku has made India proud by securing a bronze medal at the 4th World Wushu Taijiquan Championship, currently underway in Singapore.
Competing against top global athletes in the Chen Taijiquan event, Loku, a native of Kurung Kumey district, showcased her exceptional skills to secure the bronze medal for India.
Fellow Arunachal Pradesh athlete Mepung Lamgu, an Asian Games qualifier, also competed in the tournament but had to settle for the 6th position due to an injury.
The biennial championship, organized by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF), focuses on the taijiquan discipline, emphasizing patience, control, and balance.
The WTJQC draws global competitors who showcase their skills in various styles within taijiquan, highlighting the ancient martial art’s dedication to discipline and self-control.
