DIMAPUR, AUGUST 14 (MExN): Assam Rifles in collaboration with Nagaland Police organized ‘Tiranga Path Yatra’ in Dimapur on August 14 as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. 

The yatra was aimed to celebrate the spirit of freedom and unity among the citizens of Dimapur while spreading awareness about the importance of the National Flag, inspiring and encouraging citizens to hoist the Tricolour to mark the 78th year of Independence, a press release informed. 

The rally was flagged off from Police Headquarters, Dimapur by Commissioner of Police, and Commandant Assam Rifles along with officers of Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police. 

The event saw enthusiastic participation of approximately 1800 people, including troops from Assam Rifles, Nagaland Police, NCC Cadets & students from Dimapur Government College, Vidya Bhawan Higher Secondary School, No 1 Air Squadron NCC, students of Railway high school and the vibrant citizens of Dimapur, all united in their celebration of the 78th year of Independence. 

Participants carried national flags throughout the route, which covered key locations such as Railway Station, City Tower, Khermahal, Chakhesang Colony, Hongkong Market and featured a massive 150 meter-long National Flag. 

The rally culminated at the Super Market. The civil administration, students, and teachers expressed their appreciation for the efforts of Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police in organizing such events that invoke a sense of patriotism and pride, the press release stated.
