SRINAGAR: Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal on Thursday hoisted the National Flag in the lawns of Agriculture Directorate Lalmandi Srinagar. The attendees included Directorate staff, all divisional and sectoral officers of the department and their staff.
Director Agriculture while addressing the staff members congratulated them on the occasion of Independence Day. He praised the directorate staff for their enthusiastic participation in the function. He also highlighted some of the remarkable achievements by the department during the last year.
Meanwhile, the Independence Day was also celebrated in the premises of agriculture departmental complexes across all the districts of Kashmir division and sub divisional headquarters.
Director Horticulture Kashmir, Z. A. Bhat on Thursday hoisted the National Flag at the Horticulture Complex Rajbagh, here to mark the celebration of Independence Day.
In his Independence Day speech, the Director said that the country is celebrating 78th Independence Day and hoped that the year will usher the country into a new phase of development.
He encouraged the horticulture fraternity and Orchardists of Kashmir Valley to work with zeal for the development of Horticulture Industry in UT. Officers and officials of the department were present on the occasion.
The Sericulture Development Department J&K on Thursday celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at its headquarters in Tulsi Bagh, Srinagar.
The event was marked by the hoisting of the National Flag by Director Sericulture J&K, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, who led the celebrations with pride and reverence.
The occasion was graced by the presence of a large gathering of officers, staff members, and other dignitaries.
On the occasion, a resounding rendition of the National Anthem filled the air with a sense of unity and pride. Adding to the solemnity of the event, the brave members of F Coy, 40th Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal, Patna (Bihar), performed a ceremonial salute, further amplifying the spirit of patriotism.
In his address, the Director underscored the importance of Independence Day and reminded the sacrifices of the countless freedom fighters and the enduring commitment to the welfare of every section of society which laid the strong foundation of this great nation. He reiterated the department’s dedication to working tirelessly for the betterment of the silkworm rearers, farmers, youth and women folk in J&K.
This special occasion was also celebrated across various Divisional and District Offices of the Sericulture Department throughout Jammu & Kashmir.
In his concluding remarks, Bhat congratulated the staff members for their active participation in the Independence Day celebrations and commended their dedication to the department’s mission. As a token of appreciation, he felicitated the staff with mementos and certificates, recognizing their relentless commitment to their work and lifetime achievements during their service in the department.
