Angered by this, she left the house on Sunday evening without informing anyone. She reached Jodhpur’s Mahatma Gandhi Hospital premises at night, where the two youths saw the girl alone.

The accused have been identified as sweepers, but hospital superintendent Fateh Singh Bhati says that one of the accused was earlier a contract worker with us, while there is no information about the other. Both were not working in the hospital. The police has also not clarified the situation on this. The hospital superintendent said that we have reviewed the security arrangements in the hospital. The police have seen the CCTVs around the incident spot, we are cooperating with the police.

Both the accused lured the girl and took her to a cell-like place near the prisoner ward behind the hospital premises, where both the youths took turns to rape the girl. Then they left her. On the other hand, when the victim was found missing from her home, her father and other family members searched for her, but the girl was not found. The father informed the police and registered an FIR for luring and kidnapping.

The victim was found wandering alone around the hospital premises on the second day evening. The police took her to the police station and called her family to the police station. When the police investigated and took the statement of the victim, she accused two youths of gang rape. The police added sections of gang rape and POCSO in the FIR of luring and kidnapping. The police recorded the statement of the victim and got her medical examination done.

The investigation of the case has been handed over to the Assistant Police Commissioner. FSL inspected the crime scene on Tuesday and collected evidence. After identifying the accused, both the accused have been taken into custody by raiding their possible hideouts.
