Affordable Vision Pro coming in 2025, Apple Glass also in the works: Report – Technology News

There could be possibilities that Apple might be working on a cheaper version of ‘Apple Vision Pro.’ As reported by Bloomberg, Apple will reduce the cost of ‘Apple Vision Pro,’ and roll out it by 2025.

In addition to this Apple could be working on a glasses-style device that can be an augmented reality product. Mark Gurman, who is a journalist at Bloomberg says that this device can get the name of ‘Apple Glass.’ He also said that the cheaper version of ‘Apple Vision Pro,’ will come by next year.  Furthermore, he feels that the price range of ‘Apple Vision Pro,’ should be in the $1,500 range to make it affordable for  more people.

Apple working on new headsets!

As reported by Bloomberg, “the idea of making the glasses-style device into a true augmented-reality product has been tabled due to technical challenges.” Gurman believes that this could set the potential launch of the “Apple Glass” product back further than either the next Apple Vision Pro or the projected “Apple Vision” headsets. The ‘Apple glass’ can be quite similar to Meta and  Ray Ban ‘smart glasses’. Although the ‘smart glass’ price is a bit high upto $329,  the ‘Apple glass’ can be a cheaper version.

Rumors suggest that this future headset will be much lighter than the early versions of ‘Apple Vision Pro.’ The suggestion is expected to come after Apple reportedly faces criticisms for the heavy weight of the ‘Apple Vision Pro’.  Also early reports suggested that Apple planned to cut down the shipment of Vision Pro headset due to a reduction in its demand.  As reported by Ming-Chi Kuo, analyst, Apple, “Apple had started to cut orders for the Vision Pro even before it launched outside of the US”. He further claimed that Apple expects to sell only around 400,000 to 450,000 units of the Apple Vision Pro in 2024. The plan to launch a cheaper version of the Vision Pro might change this scenario.

What’s next

After the Apple Vision pro was introduced during the WWDC  event in February 2024, it saw popularity due to its mixed reality features. But Apple seems to continue planning to add on new products. Gurman also highlighted that Apple plans not to add any display  in the ‘Apple glass.’ However, it’s  not clear yet what changes would Apple bring for the two new  headsets.

Apple’s Vision Pro has the potential to affect how you watch television at home and how you use computers at work. The $3,500 headset blends three-dimensional digital content giving you a ‘virtual-reality’ like experience as you watch the content on your device.
