ADG BSF reviews security scenario in Manipur, Nagaland

Kohima, July 28 (MExN): Ravi Gandhi, Additional Director General, BSF (Eastern Command), Kolkata, during his three-day (July 25 to July 27, 2024) visit to BSF Frontier Mizoram and Cachar (M&C), reviewed the prevailing security scenario in Manipur and Nagaland.

During the visit on July 25, ADG (EC), along with Sh Akhileshwar Singh, IG, BSF Mizoram & Cachar Frontier, and other senior Officers, visited the BSF Coys, deployed in Imphal East and Kakching districts of Manipur to review the ops preparedness of the BSF troops.

ADG (EC) applauded the hardwork and dedication of the BSF troops in discharging their duties in coordination with Police/other Security Forces in maintaining the Law & Order situation of Manipur.

ADG (EC) Kolkata a/w IG BSF M&C Ftr called on Sh Rajiv Singh, IPS, DGP Manipur Police and discussed  the Operational and Administrative aspects to further improve/strengthen the security scenario and promote a sense of security amongst the locals of Manipur.

Ravi Gandhi, ADG, also met senior Government Officials of Manipur and  discussed the  various security related issues.

On July 26, ADG (EC) visited the area of responsibility of 111 Bn BSF headquartered at Satakha (Nagaland) and interacted with BSF Cdrs & troops.

ADG appreciated the duties performed by BSF troops and motivated them to work with utmost professionalism in tandem with other stake holders.

Further, on July 27, ,  ADG(EC) visited 37 Bn BSF headquartered at Chedema, Kohima and BSF Transit camp, Dimapur.

ADG (EC), concluded his visit with a positive impact on the zeal and enthusiasm of BSF troops, deployed in Law & order and CI(Ops)duties, in State of Manipur and Nagaland.
