Adani Electricity Offers Temporary Connections at Subsidized rates to Ganesh Pandals

Adani Electricity is committed to supporting the upcoming Ganesh Festival celebrations in Mumbai by making temporary electricity connections available to Ganesh pandals at a subsidized rate. This initiative ensures that pandals across the city have access to reliable power during the festivities.

In a move to facilitate a seamless experience for organizers, Adani Electricity has streamlined the process to obtain these connections. Pandals can receive their temporary electricity connection within 48 hours of submitting their application. The Pandals can visit Adani Electricity website www.adanielectricity.com and navigate to the ‘New Connection’ section for temporary connection supply.

By offering subsidized temporary electricity connections for Ganesh Pandals, we aim to ensure that the spirit of the festival is celebrated with uninterrupted power. This initiative reflects our dedication to serving our customers.” said an Adani Electricity spokesperson.Last year, we successfully provided uninterrupted power to over 958 Ganesh pandals across the city. We’ve made thorough preparations to expedite connection approvals and maintain reliable power supply throughout the festival. Our dedicated Quick Response Team is strategically deployed to address any issues swiftly.”

The spokesperson further added, “For the safety of devotees visiting Ganesh pandals, Adani Electricity urges all organizers to utilize only authorized licensed electrical contractors for electrical wiring. Additionally, we will be providing illumination with floodlights at over 80 idol immersion locations.”

Safety Do’s and Don’ts:

Do:

Ensure wiring readiness at the pandal site.

Only allow authorized personnel to access the meter cabin.

Use standard wires and switches for the connection.

Install a single isolation point for emergencies.

Securely tap wires with standard insulation tape.

Maintain clear access to the meter cabin and switches.

Ensure the connected load doesn’t exceed the sanctioned load.

Use standard-capacity wires, MCBs, and RCCBs based on the sanctioned load.

Properly earth the generator body and neutral if using a backup generator.

Employ three-pin plugs for extension cords.

Have a fire extinguisher with clear operating instructions near the meter cabin.

Secure a danger board near the meter cabin.

Ensure proper earthing at the meter cabin.

Don’t:

Use unauthorized extensions or direct power supply.

Create unnecessary joints in wiring.

Block access to the meter cabin entrance.

Exceed the sanctioned load.

Allow public access to floodlights, pedestals, fans, or insulated joints.

Store hazardous materials in or near the meter cabin.

The Shanghai ARWU Ranking has published a list of 1,000 top universities of the world this year of which 15 universities from India have made it. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore has been listed in the 401-500 rank bracket globally while it tops the list of Indian universities and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is the 2nd best institution in India as per the Shanghai ARWU ranking website.
