As per the choices filled by the candidates, the availability of seats, and NEET exam scores, candidates will be allotted a total of 1,100 MBBS and 50 BDS seats in the six medical and one dental colleges.

New Delhi: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam conducts the Assam National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 counselling. Candidates who qualify the NEET exam can participate in the Assam MBBS counselling 2024 by registering through the official website- dme.assam.gov.in.
The Assam MBBS counselling is done online in two rounds. Those who will be unable to attend the counselling on the scheduled date and time, his or her seat will be withdrawn. Based on the NEET score, the DME publishes the merit list. Candidates whose names are on the list will be eligible for counselling. Candidates are required to provide their preferences for college and course during choice filling and can choose as many colleges and courses.
The seats are allocated based on the merit rank. The merit list will have the name of the applicant, roll number, state merit rank and name of the allotted institute. Once the counselling is over, eligible candidates will be granted admission to about 1,100 MBBS and 50 BDS seats at the six medical and one dental colleges in the state of Assam.

The documents required for Assam MBBS, BDS 2024 counselling are filled application form, Class 10 mark sheet and passing certificate, Class 12 mark sheet and certificate, permanent residence certificate, NEET 2024 admit card, NEET 2024 scorecard and caste certificate (if any).
