Mumbai, July 31: On Wednesday evening, a brake failure in a goods train caused significant disruptions at Badlapur station. The malfunction led the train to pass a signal and halt on the platform, affecting the south-east line traffic. As a result, several local trains between Badlapur and Karjat were cancelled at Ambernath and replaced by special trains.

An official of Central Railway (CR) stated, “Due to unavoidable reasons, southeast line traffic has been affected. All down local trains towards Badlapur, Karjat, and Khopoli will operate up to Ambernath and then return as special local trains.”
