Arunachal win 3 medals on concluding day of Nat’l Kickboxing C’ship

ITANAGAR, 28 Jul: Arunachal Pradesh won one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal on the concluding day of the Wako India Seniors & Masters National Kickboxing Championship-2024 at Mapusa in Goa on Sunday.

Robin Deori won the gold medal in the senior men’s below 71kg K1 event, defeating his opponent from Karnataka 3-0 in the final, while Rantu Sonowal won the silver medal in the senior men’s below 54kg low-kick event.

Hem Taye won the bronze medal in the senior men’s below 45kg point fight event.

Kabak Mallam lost 4-5 to his opponent from Uttar Pradesh in the quarterfinal of the senior men’s below 63kg K1 event.

Tana Tagi Tara won the first gold medal for the state on Saturday.

Six kickboxers from Arunachal participated in the championship.

Gopal Chutia Moran was the team coach and Kickboxing Association of Arunachal general secretary Charu Govin was the manager.
