The Faculty of Business Administration (FOBA) at GLS University hosted the ‘EcoFest 2.0: The Economic Rampage’ symposium where Abhijit Iyer (R), defence economist and Senior Fellow at the Institute of Peace & Conflict Studies, was the guest of honour. Speaking to students, he discussed how economics and management have shaped world history, emphasising India’s diverse culture and resources, which made it an invaluable trade hub in the old world. He continued by explaining the benefits of the Indian democratic system, how it managed to preserve its cultural integrity amid its globalisation.
