  • Salman Khan House Firing Case: Mumbai’s Special Court Issues Warrant Against Lawrence Bishnoi’s Brother Anmol

A non-bailable warrant (NBW) has been issued by the special court in Mumbai against jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol Bishnoi.

In a new development in Salman Khan’s firing case, reports claim that a non-bailable warrant (NBW) has been issued by the special court in Mumbai against jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol Bishnoi. Also, another warrant has been issued for the person named Rohit Godera, who is said to be a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Ever since the Mumbai police filed a charge sheet, the main accused in the matter – Anmol Bishnoi has been absconding.

Special Judge B.D. Shelke, designated for Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) cases, issued a permanent non-bailable warrant against Anmol and Godera. The news comes days after it was reported that Anmol Bishnoi delivered a nine-minute-long motivational speech to the gunmen who carried out the attack outside Salman Khan’s house.

Further, the chargesheet also revealed that Anmol asked the gunmen to open fire in the air to create terror. “Do not be afraid at all while doing this work. Doing this work means bringing a change in the society,” Anmol Bishnoi added. While the speech was given by an audio message, the shooters were asked to “fire shots in such a manner that it scares Salman Khan,” the chargesheet read.

In April this year, gunshots were fired outside Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area. Later reports indicated that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was allegedly behind the attack, with the gangster’s brother, Anmol Bishnoi, claiming responsibility for the shooting in a Facebook post.

Just a couple of days back, Salman Khan opened up on the matter and said, “I heard a cracker-like sound. Then, at around 4.55 am, the police bodyguard said that two people on a bike had fired from a weapon at the Galaxy Apartment’s first-floor balcony. There had been attempts to hurt me and my family prior to this as well. I have learnt that Lawrence Bishnoi has taken responsibility for the attack from social media. So, I believe that it is the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who have carried out the firing on my balcony.”
