Air India Express expands network, launches five new routes; starts daily direct flights from Agartala to Guwahati, Kolkata – Airlines/Aviation News
Air India Express on Sunday announced that it has expanded its network by adding Agartala as its 32nd domestic destination. As per the airline, it has also launched daily direct flights from Agartala to Guwahati and Kolkata, offering one-stop connections to eight domestic destinations, including Delhi.
Additionally, Air India Express has inaugurated new routes from Hyderabad to Guwahati, Bengaluru to Vijayawada and Bengaluru to Indore.
From Agartala, Air India Express will now offer 14 daily direct flights to Guwahati and Kolkata, providing one-stop connections to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Kochi and Bhubaneswar.
Moreover, the airline has introduced five new routes which includes Agartala – Guwahati, Agartala – Kolkata, Hyderabad – Guwahati, Bengaluru – Vijayawada, and Bengaluru – Indore.
The airline also operates 77 weekly flights from Guwahati, offering direct connections to eight destinations including Agartala, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur and Kolkata. Further, it provides one-stop connectivity to 20 domestic and four international destinations. Bahrain, Dammam, Singapore and Sharjah are the four international destinations while Ayodhya, Goa and Kozhikode, are among the domestic destinations to name a few.

From Kolkata, the airline has 124 weekly flights connecting directly to 12 destinations. It also offers connectivity to 22 one-stop destinations, such as Abu Dhabi, Kozhikode, Kannur, Doha, Dubai, Lucknow, Kuwait, Thiruvananthapuram and Gwalior. From Hyderabad, it operates 187 weekly flights to 18 domestic and three international destinations.
In addition to this, the airline has 376 weekly flights from Bengaluru, connecting directly to 24 domestic destinations and to Abu Dhabi internationally. From Indore, it offers direct connections to three destinations, that is Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Sharjah; and internationally to Jeddah.
Furthermore, Air India Express operates 16 weekly departures from Vijayawada to Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Sharjah in United Arab Emirates.
