39th Meghalaya Badminton Championship | West Garo Hills bag 4 Medals, Sixbirth M. Marak wins Gold
Shillong, August 31: The 39th edition of the Meghalaya State Badminton Championship 2024 has drawn to a close on Saturday with boys from West Garo Hills delivering an impressive performance in the final matches clinching a total of four medals.
The three-day tournament was held at the SAI multipurpose stadium in NEHU, Shillong.
Among the 23-player contingent from West Garo Hills, Sixbirth M. Marak was the standout as he win the Gold Medal in the Under-13 Boys’ Singles category.

In the Under-13 Boys’ Doubles, Sixbirth paired up with Cheyziel K. Sangma to secure the Runner-Up spot. In the Under-17 Boys’ Doubles, Dejak Rocco G. Momin and Ierang N. Sangma also took the Runner-Up position. In the Men’s Singles, Gitchiak Bregim A. Sangma similarly bagged the Runner-Up spot.
