Tangkhul Neuroscientist From Manipur Makes Waves At Harvard University

Dr. Sophronea Tuithung, a neuroscientist from Manipur’s Kamjong District, is making headlines for her remarkable journey to Harvard University. Currently working as a postdoctoral fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard University, Dr. Tuithung shared her inspiring story on the YouTube talk show “CHĀN-NGAHĀN”.

Born in Kashung Village, Dr. Tuithung completed her education in Imphal and later earned her PhD from Delhi University. Her academic journey is a testament to her hard work and dedication.

The talk show episode covered various topics, including her educational journey, the scope of biosciences, balancing research and social life, mental health, and the postdoctoral application process. Dr. Tuithung also offered words of encouragement to young students.
