Even before the School Management Association officially announced its approved candidate for the upcoming elections of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Board, Dr Priyavadan Korat submitted his candidacy on Friday. Rumors of a potential revolt have begun circulating, hinting at discontent within the association regarding Korat’s actions.

This election will see the selection of nine members. The association’s Parliamentary Board meeting is scheduled for Saturday, during which the name of its official candidate for the elections is expected to be announced. However, Korat’s early submission of candidacy has set the stage for an electoral battle, especially if the association selects a different candidate. In the previous term, he had contested as an independent after being denied official ticket and emerged victorious.
