Although the CCTV system is operational in all 57 schools of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, as per the information received by the municipality itself, information has been given through a link that the CCTV system is operational in 383 schools out of 430 schools in the city. Some schools have not yet provided the information through the link. Although the government has directed to establish a Sakhi Savitri Committee in 2022 for the safety of children and to create a peaceful and egalitarian environment, there is still doubt as to how many municipal and private schools in the city have this committee.
The education department of the NMMC has directed the schools to form a Sakhi committee and submit the report immediately. In that link, about 47 schools have not sent information about the CCTV system. The NMMC has asked for the report from the schools regarding the CCTV system and various committees through the link on Thursday and has not yet received the complete report. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Education Department had written to all medium and all management schools in the city in this regard and ordered to report immediately on the complaint box and the Sakhi Savitri Committee.

Since information about CCTV in some schools has not been received, the municipality is expected to take proper precautions in this regard. While forming the Sakhi Savitri Committee at the school level, there are 10 members in that committee and the chairman of the school management committee is the chairman of this committee.
The NMMC has prepared to take appropriate action by getting updated information about the Sakhi Savitri Committee and Vishakha Committee in the city. It is necessary to organise a meeting of Sakhi Savitri Committee and Vishakha Committee every month. But while instructions have been given to form the Sakhi Savitri Committee at the state government level, how many schools have these committees is a subject of research. Because of the information collected by the municipality, the number of people who formed the committee on the first day was less.
