NPP hosted a thanksgiving programme for the newly elected councilors from KMC and DMC in Hotel Saramati on July 20.
Dimapur, July 22 (MExN): The National People’s Party (NPP) led by A Nyamnyei Konyak, MLA and State President along with the State Executives, NPP Mahila Wing, Minority Wing and Youth Front hosted a thanksgiving programme for the newly elected councilors from KMC and DMC in Hotel Saramati on July 20.
A press release from the NPP stated that the welcome speech was addressed by Hanlemmoila, State Executive NPP Mahila Wing followed by the felicitation of all the five newly elected council members of NPP from KMC and DMC. MLA and Working President NPP and Kohima ULB Election I/c Tsielhoutuo Rhutso, Yangerla Jamir, Executive NPP Women Wing and Sudesh VP, NPP Minority Wing delivered speeches.
Ane-u Khaming, Woman Councilor KMC spoke on behalf of the newly elected KMC and DMC Councilors. “It is very proud moment for her personally for being the first among the many elected woman councilors in the history of Nagaland under women reservation in the recently concluded ULB Elections,” she said.
In his Presidential Speech, A Nyamnyei Konyak urged upon the newly elected councillors to continue in the service of the people and not be deterred by mere loss in the Elections. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Along, NPP Youth Wing while benediction was said by Angnyei Konyak, NPP State PRO.
