Chennai: Stray cow menace continues in city, 64-year-old man latest victim
As he was nearing the bin, cattle grazing on the food waste dumped and spilt near the bin, turned violent and suddenly it banged on his hip with its head before tossing him up in the air. As he fell to the ground, the victim suffered severe injury on his left leg, and he also sustained multiple fractures on his hip.

A 64-year-old man was gored by a stray cow when he was walking down the road in RK Nagar in Chennai.
Chennai: In yet another incident, a 64-year-old man was gored by a stray cow when he was walking down the road in RK Nagar on Monday night. The Police said the victim who was identified as Sekar, a resident of Korukkupet, was walking down the street to dump the waste at a garbage bin at the street end when the incident happened.

As he fell to the ground, Sekar suffered severe injury on his left leg, and he also sustained multiple fractures on his hip. On his screams, the neighbours came to his rescue and chased the cattle away.
Victim has to undergo surgery
Police said Sekar’s son Vikram rushed him to the Government Stanley Hospital for his treatment. The investigation officers quoting the doctors’ said Sekar had been administered plaster for the fracture on his left leg. However, the doctors have advised him to undergo surgery to fix his hip injury.
