The second season of UP T20 League 2024 will start from today.

The second season of the UP T20 League will begin on August 25, in which the first match will be played between Kashi Rudras, who reached the finals of the first season, and Meerut Mavericks at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Rudras had defeated Meerut Mavericks by 7 wickets while chasing the target of 147 runs in the finals of the first season. A total of 6 teams will participate in the second season of the UP T20 League tournament, which includes Gorakhpur Lions, Kanpur Superstars, Kashi Rudras, Noida Kings, Lucknow Falcons and Meerut Mavericks.

The whole format will be like this in the second season

If we talk about the format of the second season, then all the teams will have to play 2 matches against other teams in the league stage, after which the top-4 teams will get a place in the playoffs. Here the team ranked first will clash in Qualifier-1, after which the eliminator match will be played between the third and fourth ranked teams, while the team losing in the first qualifier will clash with the team winning the eliminator match in the second qualifier and the team winning this will clash with the team winning the first qualifier in the final. This time a total of 34 matches will be played in the second season, in which the final will be held on September 14, while all the matches will be played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
