Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested Bijay Kumar Mangaraj, the Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer of OSRTC, in a case concerning disproportionate assets (DA) registered against him.
Additionally, the anti-corruption agency confirmed today that Mangaraj is the owner of a two-storey bungalow in Ernakulam, Kerala.
Searches conducted at various locations associated with Mangaraj on Friday revealed his possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, including double-storey buildings in Bhubaneswar, a two-storey bungalow in Kerala, and two valuable plots in Bhubaneswar.
Furthermore, the OSRTC official had bank deposits exceeding Rs.1.47 crores, 500 grams of gold, and two four-wheelers, for which he could not provide a satisfactory explanation, as stated in a Vigilance release.
