SGEL Seeks Bids To Develop 75 MW Solar Project At Banka, Bihar

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) an SJVN subsidiary released a tender inviting bids to set up a 75 MW (AC) solar power project at Banka, Bihar. The tender invited bids to design, test, commission, operate, and management of the project  (three years) with the 19th of September set as the last date for bid submission. The SGEL had already signed a Power Purchase Agreement with BREDA in response to “Request for Proposal (RFP).

The tender mentioned that the bidder is expected to source the solar modules only from the latest Approved List of Models and Manufactures (ALMM) issued by MNRE.

It further elaborated, that the bidder is expected to undertake end-to-end delivery of the commissioned plant to SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL). The tender added, “This would include (but is not limited to) land development, design, engineering, and procurement of equipment and materials. It also included testing at the manufacturer’s works, packing and forwarding, transportation, supply, receipt and unloading at the site, storage, and insurance at all stages.”

The document also mentioned, “Additionally, the bidder would also undertake associated civil works, electrical works, services, permits, licenses, installation, erection, testing, commissioning, performance demonstration, and operational acceptance of 75 MW (AC) Grid Interactive Solar PV Power Plant(s) on turnkey basis along with comprehensive Operation & Maintenance of three years thereafter.”

Furthermore, the tender stated, “The Operation & Maintenance of the Transmission line for three years are also part of the scope of the EPC Contractor. It also included the supply of all equipment, materials, and services which although not specifically mentioned in the bid documents and/or in the contractor’s Selection are necessary for the satisfactory operation of the Solar PV system and its integration with the Power Evacuation System provided by State Electricity Authority(s) (STU).”
