Zaheer Khan, who has experience of 92 Tests, 200 ODIs, 17 T20s and 100 IPL matches, was earlier being seen as the new bowling coach of Team India, as many reports claimed that head coach Gautam Gambhir could get Zaheer as bowling coach in the new setup. The legendary bowler was always seen advising young and emerging bowlers. In such a situation, everyone liked him. However, he did not get a place there due to Morne Morkel, but he can be seen as a mentor in the IPL. Zaheer Khan has been a part of the Mumbai Indians setup for a long time.
