The House of Brand Studio Lifestyle’s fashion labels Highlander and Tokyo Talkies have their sights set on branching out into physical stores.

The brands are expanding into the offline retail market by establishing exclusive brand boutiques as part of their next stage of expansion. More than ninety outlets will open by FY ’25; thirty will open at first in strategic locations in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, and Karnataka. There were ten operating stores in Gujarat, one in Hyderabad, and two in Bangalore as of August 2024.

Brand Studio’s strategic retail plan includes both stand-alone stores for each brand and joint Highlander X Tokyo Talkies outlets. Stand-alone stores will range from 2,000 to 3,000 sq.ft. in malls and high streets, while combined outlets will range from 4,000 to 5,000 sq.ft., providing ample space for diverse inventory.

Shyam S Prasad, CEO of Brand Studio Lifestyle, stated, “We are thrilled to launch Highlander and Tokyo Talkies stores. Keeping a consumer-centric approach at the forefront, our offline expansion aims to make our fashion accessible across geographies and formats, whether offline or online. Our differentiated shopping experience aligns with the Gen Z vibe, featuring weekly collection drops and a wide variety of the latest styles.”

Along with cargo pants and jeans, Highlander offers collections of casual shirts including trendy details like big Cuban collars and textures. Every week, approximately 300 new pieces are added to the catalogue. Tokyo Talkies, on the other hand, provides 600 new women’s western wear styles per month, covering needs for work, play, parties, casual wear, and loungewear.
