Gangtok: A mild earthquake of magnitude 4.4 struck the Soreng district of Sikkim on Friday morning, the National Center for Seismology said.
The quake struck at 6.57 am and originated at a depth of 10 kilometers in Soreng at the coordinates — latitude 27.22 N and longitude 88.33 E.
No casualties or damage to property was immediately reported given the mild intensity of the tremor.
