The Black Rose Enterprise is gearing up to present the fourth edition of Nagaland Hip-hop Music Festival: Inception-3.0, powered by Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) and managed by Table-3 on August 24 this year at RCEMPA, Jotsoma near Kohima.

Informing this through a press conference at The Black Rose Cafe, Kohima on Tuesday, Table-3 CEO LC Sekhose informed that the event will kick off with Battles and Competitions at 1:00 PM, followed by the main concert starting at 6:00 PM.

Organized by Table-3, the festival has been a vital platform for showcasing the vibrant and growing hip-hop scene in Nagaland since its inception in 2019, said Sekhose.

After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival is returning this year with renewed vigor, he said.

The festival will feature 13 talented artists, headlined by Khasi Bloodz from Meghalaya while other performers include Tenacious, Savizo, Ning Dang Ri, ZT Slingshot, J Polland, Renbeni, Coffee (NBC), The Knot (SJC), DJ LIL’ BomB, Nentong Konyak, Psycho K4, and Meyisanen Lemtur.

This year’s event aims to celebrate tribal unity and cultural diversity through music.

Tickets for the show has been fixed at Rs. 300 and will be made  available at Black Rose Cafe, D Cafe, Garden of Eaten, Kindred, Cafe Eva, and RCEMPA.

The festival promises to be a significant cultural celebration, uniting music lovers from across the region, Sekhose said.

In addition to music performances, the festival will host the Nagaland Beatbox Championship in collaboration with the Nagaland Beatbox Community and a dance competition with Lamgrace Studio.

Online auditions for both the competitions have commenced with the dance audition ending on August 8 and Beatbox audition on August 17.

The entry fee for the competition is Rs. 500 each while the prize for winners of dance is Rs. 20,000 and Beatbox at Rs 25,000.  

Participants from various states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Chennai, are expected to join.

Naga rapper Moko Koza, proprietor of Lamgrace Dance Studio Lamgrace, Nagaland Beatbox Association president and others were also present during the press conference.
