Eighth Indian Navy Visit in 2024: INS Mumbai’s visit is the eighth instance of an Indian Navy ship calling on Sri Lankan ports this year, underscoring the ongoing maritime collaboration between the two countries.

Delivery of Spare Parts: During its stay, INS Mumbai will deliver essential spare parts for the Dornier maritime patrol aircraft used by the Sri Lanka Air Force, aiding in their operational readiness.

Familiarisation Tour: The visit includes a familiarisation tour of INS Mumbai for Sri Lankan Navy personnel, aimed at sharing operational practices and enhancing mutual understanding.
