In an interview with Local 18, astrologer Pandit Sanjay Upadhyay mentioned that this year, four yogas fall on the day of Raksha Bandhan. As per Hindu calendar, the festival of Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on August 19. The four yogas that fall on the same day are Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Ravi Yoga, Shobhan Yoga, and Shravana Nakshatra. The day of Raksha Bandhan also coincides with the last Monday of the Sawan month, making it extremely auspicious.

Astrologer Pandit Sanjay Upadhyay explained that on August 19, the auspicious muhurat of Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga and Ravi Yoga will start in the early morning and will end at 8:40 PM of the same day. It is believed that any task performed during this time will be successful. The astrologer mentioned that if the Rakhi is tied during this time of the day, it will remove all obstacles from the brother’s life and grant him a long life.

Pandit Sanjay Upadhyay further mentioned that according to the Hindu calendar, the auspicious occasion of Bhadra will start at 2:21 AM on August 18 and will last until 1:24 PM on August 19. Rakhi should be tied after 1:24 PM on August 19. He added that the auspicious time to tie the Rakhi starts at 1:26 PM and ends at 6:25 PM.
